Our Boats
What kind of boats are used?
We travel on traditional Turkish gulets—beautiful wooden sailing vessels designed for comfort and style. With en-suite cabins, wide sun decks, and plenty of lounge space, gulets are the heart of every Turkey sailing adventure. Whether you want to sunbathe, read, or sip cocktails while watching the coast drift by, these boats are built for relaxation.
Wi-Fi on board?
Yes, all our gulets offer free Wi-Fi so you can stay connected and share your epic moments from your Turkey sailing holidays straight to Instagram.
Is there a bar?
Of course. Each gulet has a licensed onboard bar. Drinks are added to your personal tab, which you pay in cash at the end of the week. Because of this, BYO alcohol isn’t permitted.
What about charging devices?
Boats use European two-pin sockets, so bring a travel adapter to keep your electronics powered.
How many hours do we cruise daily?
On average, about 3–4 hours, with plenty of stops for swimming and exploring along the way.
Where do we stay at night?
Most evenings are spent anchored in quiet bays—ideal for sunset swims and sleeping under the stars. Sometimes we dock in lively coastal towns so you can experience the local nightlife too.
What are the boats like?
Our A+ Premium Category boats are modern, spacious, and purpose-built for Croatia sailing tours. Each cabin has air conditioning and a private en-suite. Large sundecks and stylish dining areas make relaxing on the Adriatic a dream.
How many passengers are on the boat?
For Croatia, groups usually range between 25 and 35 travellers, making it the perfect size for socialising while still being intimate enough to create strong connections.
Main Deck or Lower Deck – which is better?
  • Lighting: Main deck cabins have large windows, while lower deck cabins have port holes.
  • Size: Main deck cabins are slightly larger.
  • Beds: Main deck twins can be pushed together into doubles; lower deck twins are fixed.
  • WiFi: Better connection on the main deck.
  • Accessibility: Main deck cabins open directly to daylight and the water; lower deck cabins open to an internal hallway.
Is there a licensed bar onboard?
Yes, all boats have a licensed bar, so bringing your own alcohol is not permitted. Drinks are generally cheaper than on land, and we run fun drink specials each night. A visible bar tab is kept throughout the week, payable in cash at the end of the trip. Most guests spend €100-150 for the week.
Is WiFi available on board?
Yes, free WiFi is provided on Gulet Cruises boats. You’ll also find plenty of hotspots in cafes, bars, and hotels throughout Croatia.
What are the cabin arrangements?
Cabins are based on two people sharing, with either twin beds or a double. Requests can be noted, but exact allocation depends on availability, as each gulet’s cabin configuration is unique.
Is there a single supplement?
Yes, on selected cruises, a single supplement (usually 50% of the cabin price) applies.
How many people are on the gulet and what is their nationality?
Gulets typically host 12-16 guests. Most are English, German, or French speaking, though groups vary. Our Montenegro sailing tours attract an international mix of travellers.
Is there noise from the engine or generator?
Yes, some noise is normal, especially in cabins near the engine room. Earplugs are recommended for sensitive sleepers.
Is WiFi available onboard?
Yes, but coverage is limited when sailing offshore. Expect stronger connections when docked in port.
Are hairdryers available onboard?
Yes, each cabin comes with a personal hairdryer. This ensures comfort and convenience during your Montenegro yacht holiday, so you can pack light without worrying about bringing one from home.
Are there power outlets onboard?
Yes. European 2-pin sockets (230V) are available in cabins and common areas. They can be used for charging phones, cameras, and small appliances. Adapters may be required for guests from outside Europe.
Are toiletries provided?
A welcome kit including shampoo, shower gel, and soap is provided. For longer Montenegro sailing tours, you may wish to bring personal toiletries.

What’s a normal day like on a Croatia sailing tour?

When you join a Croatia sailing tour with Gulet Cruises, your day begins with a fresh continental breakfast between 9.00-10.00am. While you are still waking up, our boat has already set sail around 7.00am, smoothly heading towards the next destination along the Adriatic coast. By late morning, we usually anchor for a refreshing swim stop in crystal-clear waters before enjoying a freshly prepared lunch at around 1.30pm.

After lunch, we either continue sailing or make another swim stop, depending on the distance. Once we dock in a charming port town, your Gulet Cruises representative will take you on an orientation walk, showing you the highlights, local landmarks, and best things to do. You’ll have free time to explore, relax, or try one of our optional excursions. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner, followed by happy hour on deck, before heading out to experience Croatia’s vibrant nightlife. The boat stays docked overnight, ensuring you can explore with ease, before setting off again early the next morning.

What is the average age of passengers on a Croatia yacht holiday?
Our sail Croatia holidays are designed for young professionals, with most of our guests in their mid-20s to late-30s. The average age is between 25 and 35. However, whether you’re slightly younger or older, you’ll find the atmosphere welcoming and inclusive. Our guests share the same passion: enjoying the Adriatic, making new friends, and discovering Croatia’s coastline in a relaxed yet adventurous style.
Is this trip suitable for solo travellers?
Absolutely! Many of our guests book alone, and Croatia sailing tours are perfect for solo travellers looking to meet like-minded adventurers. With Gulet Cruises, you’ll instantly feel part of the group. Whether you want to party in Split, watch the sunset from Hvar, or just relax on deck with a cocktail, you’ll never be short of great company. Most guests step on board as solo travellers but leave with lifelong friends.
Who will I share a cabin with?
Cabins are based on twin share, so solo travellers are paired with a same-sex cabin mate. If you prefer your own space, single supplements are available on request. All cabins are air-conditioned, en-suite, and designed for comfort, making your Croatia yacht holiday both social and relaxing.
How much free time will I get?
Plenty! This is your holiday, so how active or relaxed you want it to be is up to you. Your Gulet Cruises rep will suggest excursions and nightlife options, but you can also choose to spend the afternoon sunbathing on deck, swimming in hidden bays, or strolling through medieval towns at your own pace.
What if I have dietary requirements?
No problem. Our chefs can accommodate most dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free. Just let us know before your trip or inform your Gulet Cruises rep on check-in day.
Can I connect with fellow travellers before the tour?
Yes, you’ll be invited to a WhatsApp group before departure so you can meet your shipmates, plan pre-trip meetups, and start building those friendships early.
What if I can’t swim well?
No worries! Life jackets and floatation devices are always available, and there are plenty of activities on board if you’d prefer to soak up the Adriatic sun instead of diving in.
Are there any extra costs?
Yes. A local payment of around €120 per person applies to cover port fees and tourist taxes for the week. This amount is payable onboard in cash and may vary slightly depending on the route. Transparency of costs is important to Gulet Cruises so you can budget your sail Montenegro adventure comfortably.
Do you accept card payments onboard?
We recommend carrying cash (Euros). Bar tabs, optional meals, and excursions are usually paid in cash at the end of the trip. ATMs are available in most ports.
Life on Board
What’s a typical day like?
Days start with a fresh breakfast in a pristine bay. After that, we generally cruise for a few hours, stopping for swims, snorkeling, lunch, and some hikes in the wood. Afternoons mean more sun and sea, while evenings are all about big dinners, games on deck, or heading ashore for a night out.
Who are the travelers?
Most of our guests are in their 20s to 40s, with lots of solo travelers. It’s a very social vibe—expect to meet new friends from around the world.

No problem. Cabins are shared between two guests, and we pair solo travelers with another of the same gender. Single cabins are available for an extra fee if you’d prefer privacy.
How many people on board?
Gulets typically carry 12–16 passengers, so groups are small enough to get to know everyone.

Do I need to bring towels onboard?
No, Gulet Cruises provides both bath and beach towels. This makes packing easier and leaves more space for essentials.
Can I bring food and drinks onboard?
Food and drinks cannot be brought onboard, except for specific dietary items. Every gulet has a fully stocked licensed bar, and unlimited drinking water is available during salon opening hours. This is standard for Montenegro gulet cruises.
Do you cater for vegetarians or special meal requests?
Meals are freshly prepared daily and generally include a balance of meat, fish, vegetables, and salads. Vegetarian guests receive larger portions of vegetables and salads. For allergies or special diets, please inform us when booking so the crew can prepare accordingly.
Do you sail every day?
Gulets are primarily motor-sailers. While the engine is used for most of the cruising, sails are hoisted whenever conditions allow, giving you the authentic sail Montenegro experience.
How do I buy drinks onboard?
Drinks and onboard dinners are recorded to a weekly bar tab. This tab is settled in cash (Euros) before check-out. Expect prices to be slightly lower than shore bars.

What optional activities are available?
  • Paragliding over Blue Lagoon – one of the best spots in the world

These extras can be booked in advance or during your trip.
What if the weather is bad?

Croatia is one of Europe’s sunniest destinations, with clear skies and calm seas throughout the summer. On the rare occasion of bad weather, our experienced captain will simply adjust the route to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey.

Tipping in Croatia

Tipping isn’t mandatory but is very much appreciated. In restaurants, 10-15% is standard, while rounding up taxi fares is common courtesy. Onboard, tipping the crew and your Gulet Cruises rep is optional but recommended as a thank-you for their exceptional service.
