Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions establish the contractual agreement between Gulet Cruises and its passengers. Gulet Cruises is a registered trademark of Okeanos Yachting Limited, a licensed member of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (License No. 11914), with its registered office at Cumhuriyet Avenue, Çarşı Street, Likya Business Centre No:01/311, Fethiye, Muğla, Turkey (hereinafter referred to as

the Tour Operator

).

By booking with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms, which are designed to protect the interests of both passengers and the Tour Operator. These Terms and Conditions, along with all details provided on our official website www.gulet-cruises.com, govern the responsibilities, rights, and obligations of both parties.


1. Booking and Confirmation

  • A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit payment by the Tour Operator.

  • The booking form provided on www.gulet-cruises.com must be completed by the lead passenger (minimum age 18) acting on behalf of the group.

  • Once documentation is received and subject to availability, we will issue an initial invoice for the deposit or full payment. It is the passenger’s responsibility to check all details for accuracy.

  • Final confirmation will be provided once payment is received, and any discrepancies must be reported within 10 days.


2. Deposits and Payments

  • At the time of reservation, 30% of the total trip price must be paid as a deposit.

  • The remaining balance must be paid in cash on the day the cruise commences.

  • Failure to pay on time will be treated as a cancellation, and deposits will be retained.


3. Changes and Cancellations by Passengers

  • All change requests must be submitted in writing. While we will make every effort to accommodate changes, amendments cannot be guaranteed. A fee of EUR 20 per passenger plus any additional costs may apply.

  • Cancellations must be notified in writing. The following charges apply:

    • Over 60 days: Deposit only

    • 59–45 days: 30% of total price

    • 44–31 days: 50% of total price

    • 30–15 days: 70% of total price

    • 14–0 days: 100% of total price

  • No refunds are provided for unused services once travel has commenced.


4. Changes and Cancellations by the Tour Operator

  • We aim to operate all trips as advertised. However, due to the nature of maritime travel, changes may occur before or after confirmation.

  • Minor itinerary changes (e.g., weather-related route adjustments) may be made by the captain for safety reasons.

  • In the rare case of a major change (significant itinerary alteration or downgrade in accommodation), passengers will be offered:

    • An alternative trip of equivalent standard,

    • A lower-grade alternative with a refund of the price difference, or

    • A full refund.


5. Force Majeure

The Tour Operator accepts no liability for events outside its reasonable control (force majeure), including but not limited to adverse weather, natural disasters, pandemics, or political events.


6. Insurance

  • The vessel is fully insured according to Turkish maritime law.

  • Passengers are required to hold adequate personal travel insurance covering medical, accident, luggage, cancellations, and repatriation.

  • Okeanos Yachting is not liable for passenger belongings or costs incurred due to lack of insurance.


7. Our Liability

  • Travel with Gulet Cruises involves exposure to natural conditions and inherent risks. Bookings are accepted with the understanding that passengers accept these risks.

  • Optional activities not operated by the Tour Operator are undertaken at passengers’ own risk.

  • All vessels are fully insured; however, claims relating to accidents on board must be addressed directly with the vessel’s owner.


8. Passenger Conduct

  • Passengers must behave respectfully towards crew and fellow guests. Unsafe, disruptive, or offensive conduct may result in immediate termination of the trip at the captain’s discretion without refund.

  • Swimming is at passengers’ own risk. Wet feet are not permitted in interior spaces. Smoking is prohibited indoors.


9. Complaints

  • Any dissatisfaction should be reported immediately to the crew or Tour Operator to allow corrective action.

  • Post-trip complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of completion. Late submissions may affect the ability to investigate or compensate.


10. Special Requests & Medical Conditions

  • Passengers must inform the Tour Operator of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or allergies prior to booking confirmation.

  • Failure to disclose relevant health or dietary issues may affect the quality of services provided.


11. Excursions & Optional Activities

  • Optional excursions (e.g., diving, paragliding) not operated by Gulet Cruises are booked at passengers’ own risk.

  • We accept no responsibility for third-party operators or their safety standards.


12. Travel Documentation

  • It is the passenger’s responsibility to hold valid passports, visas, and health documents.

  • Most nationalities (including UK, US, Canadian, and Australian passport holders) must obtain an e-visa via www.evisa.gov.tr. Passports must have at least six months’ validity.

  • Failure to secure required documents is the passenger’s responsibility, and no refunds will be issued.


13. Privacy & Data Protection

  • To process bookings, we require personal details such as names, passport information, and dietary or medical needs.

  • We never store credit card details or share information with third parties except where necessary to provide services.

  • Personal data may be shared with service providers (e.g., hotels, transfer companies) or authorities where required by law.

  • By booking, passengers consent to being contacted by Gulet Cruises regarding future offers unless they opt out.


14. Contract and Governing Law

This contract becomes legally binding once a booking is confirmed and a confirmation invoice is issued. The agreement is governed by Turkish law, and both parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Turkish Courts.
